ANNAPOLIS, Md. — A man was discovered sleeping on an Annapolis resident’s couch and four teenagers were found in an abandoned home in separate break ins, Annapolis Police said.

Officers responded to the 1400 block of Tyler Avenue at about 7:35 a.m. Friday, when a resident called police to say an adult man was sleeping on the resident’s couch. The resident challenged the man’s presence, and the man got up and left. Police determined the man broke into the home by removing a piece of plexiglass-glass from a window where an air conditioning unit was mounted. Nothing was stolen from the home.

Then at 8 p.m. Sunday, police were notified of several juveniles trespassing at an abandoned house in the area of the 1200 block of Marda Lane, police said. Officers responded to the scene and found the home unlocked. Inside, four teens – a 12-year-old boy, a 13-year-old boy, a 14-year-old girl, and a 15-year-old girl – were found. All four were from Annapolis. They were arrested and given juvenile citations and then released to their guardians.
