A 29-year-old man became Anne Arundel County's eighth homicide of the year Tuesday night.
Shannon Blair Jr. was found dead in the area of Bay Highlands Drive and Washington Avenue in Annapolis around 8 p.m.
Blair is not from the area, according to Anne Arundel County Police.
Police searched the area with officers, K-9 units and helicopters, but did not find any suspects.
"At this time there is no indication that this was a random act. There is no issues with pubic safety in that community whatsoever," said Lt. Ryan Frashure, a department spokesman.
