Officers were dispatched to the scene of an attempted robbery and stabbing that happened Wednesday evening in Glen Burnie.
According to police, a man was walking in the area of Ritchie Highway when an unknown man demanded something from him in an attempt to rob him. The man ran away and the robber stabbed him in the back with an object.
Officials say the robber fled the scene and the man stabbed called the authorities and was later transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of his injury.
Police searched the area and was unable to locate the suspect. They say he is a black male, 5'9 and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with black pants.
