A Baltimore mother was charged criminally for leaving her 2 year old son in the car while she went inside a courthouse to file paperwork.
Police responded to the Glenn Burnie Courthouse after receiving a complaint about a child left alone in car Wednesday afternoon.
A courthouse bailiff managed to open the door before officers arrived.
The child's mother, 31 year old Ashley Myers, made it back to her car shortly after paramedics arrived.
Myers told police she left the boy in the car to not wake him while went to court to file paper work.
Police reviewed the security surveillance video and saw that Meyers left her son in the car for 30 minutes.
Myers was arrested and charged for child neglect and reckless endangerment.
A relative took custody of Myers's son. The case has been forward to the Department of Social Services.
