GLEN BURNIE, Md. — Anne Arundel Police are investigating a homicide that took place in the Glen Burnie area on Friday, July 5 just after 11 p.m.
Officers say they arrived to the area of 500 Everett Road for a report of shots fired. Upon arriving to the scene, officers located an 29-year-old man who had been shot. He was transported to the hospital where he later died from his injuries. The shooting victim was identified as James Antonio Diggs IV.
While on scene, detectives found two other shooting victims had been admitted to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries. The victims were a 21-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man.
The investigation revealed the victims were attending a pool party when an armed individual opened fire striking the victims. An autopsy is scheduled to be performed to determine the cause and manner of Diggs' death.
