Police identify human remains found in woods

Anne Arundel County investigators identified human remains that were found in the woods near Open View Lane in Annapolis.

Officials say the Anne Arundel County Police Latent Print Section was able to positivity identify the body as 17-year-old Neris Giovani Bonilla-Palacios.

According to investigators, a tip of the human remains was reported to police on October 3rd. They then transported the remains to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner where it was determined that what was found was the body of a young adult male who suffered from trauma and his death was a homicide.

Neris Bonilla-Palacios has been reported missing since August 7th.
