Detectives are investigating a reported shootout that left a security guard with a gunshot wound to his chest on Tuesday evening.
Officers were dispatched to the scene of reported shots fired on the 1700 block of Forest Drive in Annapolis around 9 p.m.
Detectives say there were two groups of men exchanging gunfire when a security guard standing outside of a business was wounded by a bullet. They say the man was grazed in the chest and was transported to the hospital for his injury.
The shooters are unknown at this time.
