An Annapolis resident interrupted the attempted theft of packages from the front porch of a home Tuesday, Annapolis Police said.
A man was in the process of grabbing two packages from the front porch of a home in the 700 block of Drake Way at about 3:30 p.m. when the home's occupant opened the door and spotted the theft, police said. The resident of the home yelled at the thief, who dropped the packages and took off on foot.
Responding officers could not find the suspected thief. Two other area residents later reported that packages or the contents of packages were stolen from their front porches as well.
