Students charged in Annapolis High School fight

UPDATE: Police have charged five students, including the victim, relating to the fight that occurred at Annapolis High School Tuesday morning. 

According to a release, one of the students that is believed to have stabbed the victim had a small pocketknife in his possession. All of the suspects were arrested and charged on juvenile citations. 

The victim was treated for his injuries and released earlier Tuesday. 

Police sent out the following charges:

1)    14-year old male from Annapolis
- 2nd degree assault, affray, and disruption of school activities

2)    15-year old male from Annapolis (stabbing suspect)
- 1st degree assault, reckless endangerment, possession of weapon with intent to injure, 2nd degree assault, affray, and disruption of school activities

3)    15-year old male from Annapolis
- 2nd degree assault, affray, and disruption of school activities

4)    16-year old male from Annapolis
- 2nd degree assault, affray, and disruption of school activities

5)    17-year old male from Annapolis (victim)
- 2nd degree assault, affray, and disruption of school activities
 

Officers responded to Annapolis High School for report of a fight on grounds just before 10:45 a.m.  Upon arrival, officers found a 17-year-old student with a superficial puncture wound.

According to Anne Arundel police, five students were believed to be involved in the fight. Those juveniles were interviewed. 

There was no further threat to the students and classes returned to their normal schedule.
