A 17-year-old was arrested after police say he cut his mother's boyfriend multiple times with a knife.
Wednesday night, police were called to the 500 block of Placid Court for a report of a stabbing. When they got to the scene they found that a woman and her teenage son, Justin Gillin, were fighting.
When the mother's boyfriend tried to intervene, Gillin cut him multiple times with a knife and then ran away, according to police. Police were able to quickly find the teen and arrest him.
The mother's boyfriend suffered several cuts to his upper body and was taken to Shock Trauma as a precaution.
Gillin was charged as an adult with first and second-degree assault along with reckless endangerment plus deadly weapon.
