GLEN BURNIE, Md. — Two children were injured in a car accident in Glen Burnie on New Year’s Eve, the Anne Arundel County Fire Department said.
Firefighters responded to a two-car crash in the 600 block of East Ordinance Road, near Blades Lane, at about 7:06 p.m. Monday. One of the cars involved had fled the scene by the time fire personnel arrived.
A 10-year-old girl and a 9-year-old girl who had been riding in the back seat of the car that remained at the crash site were both injured. They were taken to the Pediatric Trauma Center at Johns Hopkins Hospital for the treatment of serious injuries that were not thought to be life threatening. The two other occupants of the car did not sustain injuries that required hospitalization.
