Police were able to apprehend two suspects a short distance away from a reported robbery in the 8500 block of Ft. Smallwood Road in Pasadena.
Philip Joseph Gardner, 18, of the 2000 block of Old Home Avenue in Pasadena, and James Tyler Wood, 19, or the 8500 block fo Beacon Point Round in Pasadena, were charged with robbery and robbery related offenses.
An adult male victim told police two males he knew from the area approached him and pushed him to the ground. One suspect brandished a knife and demanded the victim's book bag. The victim complied and the suspects took off on foot. Several officers responded to the area, apprehending the suspects after a brief foot pursuit.
