A woman that was rescued from a house fire in Pasadena over a week ago has died.
52-year-old Brenda Chavis was trapped in a house fire in the 3400 block of Brookhaven Road on July 15 around 3:30 in the morning. Several people who lived in the area called 911 to report the fire and crews were able to get inside the home and quickly to rescue Chavis, who was found unconscious.
Chavis was then taken to paramedics for life-saving care and they transported her to the Baltimore Washington Medical Center with critical, life-threatening injuries.
On Thursday Chavis died from her injuries. She is the sixth fire-related death in Anne Arundel County in 2018.
