Woman, dog struck in hit-and-run crash in Odenton

A woman and her dog were struck in a hit-and-run crash in Odenton early Friday, Anne Arundel County Police said.

Police responded to the intersection of Charter Oaks Boulevard and Saint Michael's Circle at 2:25 a.m. for the reported crash.

The woman was walking her dog on Charter Oaks Boulevard when a light-colored, two-door Chevrolet Monte Carlo with tinted windows struck her and her dog, police said. The driver did not remain on the scene. 

The woman was taken to BWMC with minor, non-life threatening injuries. Animal Control cared for the dog, who sustained serious injuries. 

Officers searched the area but could not locate the vehicle.
