Woman robbed in Annapolis backyard

Posted

At roughly 2:15 Monday afternoon, a woman was knocking on the rear door of a home on the 1100 block of President Street when two men sitting nearby tackled her and began rifling through her pants' pockets.

The men demanded money, then took the victim's wallet before fleeing into a home. Police responded and located the two men inside the home.

The suspects were identified as Louis Newman, 18 of Brooklyn, and Vernon Harrison, 19 of Annapolis. They were both charged with robbery, assault, and theft. Both are being held at the Jennifer Road Detention Center without bond.
