After an Annapolis woman threw a shoe at a man arguing with a woman, she proceeded to come at the man with a knife, Annapolis Police said.
Police responded to the 300 block of Bloomsbury Square at 1:40 a.m. Sunday, where a man and a woman had been having a verbal argument. Another woman who lived in the residence, 22-year-old Paris Koonce, threw a shoe at the arguing male, police said. She then grabbed a knife and started stabbing the man in both arms, causing several cuts.
Koonce was arrested and charged with first- and second-degree assault. She was taken to the Jennifer Road Detention Center and is being held without bond.
In a separate incident Saturday, officers were called to the unit block of Spa Road as an argument between two men escalated to a stabbing.
At about 10 a.m. Saturday, 34-year-old Jamie Stevens was arguing with another man when Stevens went into the kitchen, grabbed a knife and slashed the man he was arguing with on the thigh and hand. The victim waited to report the attack, at which point Stevens left the residence.
Police got a warrant for Stevens and arrested him the next day in the 1100 block of Madison Street. he was charged with attempted murder, first- and second-degree assault, and possession of a dangerous weapon with intent to injure.
He was also taken to the Jennifer Road Detention Center and held without bond.
