According to Baltimore City Police, a 12-year-old girl was shot in the leg Tuesday afternoon.
They say she was walking in the 400 block of N. Curley Street around 12:45 p.m. when she heard gunshots and realized that she had been hit.
She was then taken to the hospital for treatment.
Detectives are investigating this shooting and believe that the girl was not the intended target.
