BALTIMORE — Baltimore Police are investigating a late-night homicide that claimed the life of a teenager in Northeast Baltimore on Wednesday.
Police say officers were called to the scene of the 2800 block of Mayfield Avenue after a shotspotter alerted them just before midnight.
At the scene, officers found 17-year-old Antonio Skipwith lying unresponsive on a front porch on the block. Officers say Skipwith suffered from a gunshot wound to his body and was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
