Raemiyah Haws, 19, and Taquan Benson, 16, were charged as adults with armed robbery, first and second-degree assault, and theft of less than $1,000. An 15-year-old girl was charged as a juvenile in the crime as well.

The attack and robbery occurred in the middle of the day Tuesday in the 1700 block of Webster Street. According to a Facebook post from District 11 Councilman Eric Costello, the woman was walking when the three suspects approached. One pulled a gun and began striking the victim in the head while she held her baby. Another female suspect then grabbed the victim from behind as the suspect with a gun stole the victim’s phone. A third suspect was standing as a look out.

Police later corroborated the robbery, though they did not provide many details. The suspects were later detained in the Inner Harbor after being found using the police department’s helicopter.
