19-year-old woman among recently ID'd Baltimore homicide victims

BALTIMORE — Baltimore Police identified the victims of three recent shootings and updated the status of one victim who survived one of the incidents.

On May 26, a man and a woman were shot while in the 400 block of N. Montford Avenue. While the man is expected to survive, the woman died of her injuries the next day at the hospital. She was identified as 19-year-old Jennifer Velasquez.

On May 23, 41-year-old Correy Cawthorn was killed while in the 4300 block of Nicholas Avenue.

On May 22, 35-year-old Frederick Nelson was shot in the head while in the 3800 block of Hayward Avenue. He was originally taken to a hospital and listed in critical condition, but Nelson later succombed to his injuries.
