BALTIMORE — Two people were killed in Wednesday night and early Thursday morning shootings in Baltimore.
A 19-year-old Daunta Davis was shot and killed on Greenmount Avenue near Mund Park in North Baltimore shortly after midnight. He was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital where he died shortly after arriving.
Late Wednesday night, a 22-year-old Jevano Johnson walked in to Sinai Hospital with gunshot wounds. Detectives say he was shot on West Coldspring Lane near Loyola University. Johnson also died at the hospital.
This brings the homicide total to 63 in Baltimore this year.
Two others were also injured in shootings overnight.
Around 2:30 Thursday morning, a 30-year-old man walked into the Northeast District police station with a gunshot wound to the thigh.
Detectives say he was shot while walking on the 4700 block of Harford Road near the Family Dollar in Northeast Baltimore. That man has non-life threatening injuries.
Wednesday night just before 9 p.m., a 20-year-old man was shot on the Unit block of Bruce Street in West Baltimore.
He was taken to a hospital for treatment, and there has been no word on his condition at this time.
