22-year-old man dead after gunshot wounds to chest in West Baltimore

Baltimore Police are investigating a homicide that claimed the life of a 22-year-old man in West Baltimore Friday evening.

Officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of Ashburton Street around 6:55 p.m. for the reported shooting.

At the scene, they found the 22-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds to his chest. 

The man was transported to an area hospital where he died.
