BALTIMORE, Md. — Baltimore Police are investigating a deadly shooting that claimed the life of a 27-year-old man in Northwest Baltimore Monday evening.
Officials said the sound of gunshots coming from the 3100 block of West Belvedere around 7:28 p.m. alerted patrol officers in the area. A few moments later, the officers located a 27-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his upper body.
The man was sent to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead from his injuries.
On April 17, police identified the victim as Marvin Hawkins.
Police said they were able to arrest a person of interest at the scene.
