Police arrested 18-year-old Vonchez Simms in connection to a shooting on May 31, 2016.
Simms is accused of shooting a 50-year-old man in the 3500 block of Caton Avenue. According to police, the victim was shot in his left heel and transported to an area hospital with a non-life threatening injury.
Police said the victim and the suspect were involved in a dispute when the suspect pulled a gun and shot the victim.
Simms is currently at Central Booking Intake Facility awaiting trial for attempted murder.
