BALTIMORE — A 36-year-old man was shot twice in the leg Tuesday in the city’s Jonestown neighborhood, just north of Little Italy and east of the Inner Harbor.

Officers from the Southeast District responded to the 1000 block of Lombard Street at about 1:20 a.m. for a reported shooting, Baltimore Police said. The block is home to Attman's Deli, a famous, longstanding eatery that used to be one of several Jewish delicatessens along that stretch of Lombard that became known locally as "Corned Beef Row."

There they found the man suffering from two gunshot wounds to his leg. He was taken to an area hospital where he was listed in stable condition.

Citywide shooting detectives are investigating and ask anyone with information about the incident to call 410-396-2221 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP.
