BALTIMORE — A 41-year-old woman was shot early Friday in what she said was a drug deal gone bad, Baltimore Police said.
At about 1:11 a.m., police were sent to the Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Towson to investigate a walk-in shooting victim looking for treatment. There they found the woman with a gunshot wound to the elbow. Citywide shooting detectives responded and took over the investigation.
The woman told detectives she and her husband, along with some friends, were on Park Heights Avenue trying to buy drugs. At some point in the midst of the purchase, “things went bad and the suspect fired his handgun into the van they were in, striking her in the elbow,” police said.
