43-year-old man is dead after shooting in East Baltimore

Baltimore Police are investigating a homicide in East Baltimore Tuesday night.

Officers responded to a call about a shooting in the 2900 block of East Monument Street, just after 10:30 p.m. There they found a 43-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. 

The man was later identified as Gregory Cason, who resided in the block where he was killed.

Cason was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Homicide detectives are leading the investigation.
