BALTIMORE — Baltimore Police have arrested and charged a 44-year-old woman with murder for the beating death of a 47-year-old man.

On Friday, at around 12:40 a.m., 47-year-old Michael Beatty was found beaten to death inside of his home in the 500 block of North Clinton Street. Homicide detectives took control of the investigation and, after analyzing evidence and interviewing witnesses, they were able to identify a suspect.
On Saturday, officers arrested 44-year-old Grace Agnant, of the 500 block of N. Clinton Street. After being transported to Central Booking, Agnant was charged with 1st Degree Murder.
Initially, detectives believed that the victim had been shot in the head, but after fully investigating and searching the home, they discovered that the victim had never been shot and that his death was due to blunt force trauma.
At the moment, Agnant is waiting to see a court commissioner for her bail review.
