A 5-month-old girl died days after being taken to the hospital with signs of trauma, and now her death is being ruled a homicide. 

Last Thursday, police say detectives were called to an area hospital around 3 p.m. after hearing about an injured 5-month-old baby. When the officers arrived, they saw a baby girl with signs of trauma to her body in the care of doctors. 

On Sunday, the baby, Brailynn Ford, succumbed to her injuries and died. Her body was taken to the medical examiner's office where the cause of death was ruled a homicide.
