53-year-old man dead after altercation at assisted living facility

An altercation between two men at an assisted living facility resulted in the assault death of a 53-year-old man in Baltimore on Tuesday evening. 

Baltimore Police say they were dispatched to a facility in the 2300 block of Roslyn Avenue when they found a 63-year-old man with injuries to his body. They say he become injured after getting into an altercation with another man at the facility.

The man was transported to a nearby hospital and was later pronounced dead moments later.

Police identified the man as Clarence Payne.

Officers arrested a person of interest at the scene. 

Homicide detectives are investigating the incident.
