A woman shot 24 years ago has died, upgrading her case to a homicide

BALTIMORE — A shooting that happened over 24 years ago has been upgraded to a homicide after the victim dies as a result of the said shooting.

On May 24, 1995, Michele Blanding, who was 35 years old at the time, was shot in the 4100 block of St. George's Avenue.

Following an investigation, Gregory Macon, who was also 35 years old at the time, was arrested and charged with 1st Degree Attempted Murder.

However, on May 18, Blanding, who was 59 years old, died.

Her remains were transported to the Medical Examiner's office and it was determined on Saturday that her death was a result of the 1995 shooting.
