61-year-old man's death ruled homicide caused by shootings in 1986

BALTIMORE — A 61-year-old man's death is now being ruled a homicide after he suffered health complications caused by two shootings in 1986.

Baltimore Police say Alan Tyrone Downer was the victim of two shootings in 1986, the first being on June 22, where he was shot in the area of 700 North Carey Street.

Later in the year, on September 9, Downer was shot again in the area of 3900 West Northern Parkway.

On June 22, 2019 Downer was found unresponsive in the area of 200 North Mount Street. Following an autopsy, his death was ruled a homicide due to the complications caused by the 1986 shootings.

No arrests have been made in this case.
