Police are investigating two Saturday night crimes: one’s a shooting and the other is a homicide.
The homicide happened first, so we’ll start with that one. At around 7:25 p.m. police were called to the 200 block of South Hilton Street to investigate an unresponsive adult male. When they arrived, they found a 63-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. After arriving on the scene, a medic pronounced the victim dead.
Homicide detectives assumed control of the investigation, so anyone with information is urged to contact the Baltimore Police Department Homicide detectives at (410) 396-2100.
Police were called to the shooting, which happened in the 2500 block of West Baltimore Street, at a little after 11:15 p.m. After they heard gunfire, officers conducting traffic started to search the area to find the source. They discovered a 27-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
