A Baltimore man was arrested for attempting to rape a woman in February, police said.
Dennis Cooper, 25, of the 4100 block of Fords Lane, was arrested in Washington, D.C. last week, then extradited to Baltimore.
Baltimore Police said the assault occurred Feb. 24 in the 200 block of S. Eden Street. Police said Cooper spotted the woman at the subway station at E. Baltimore and President streets. Cooper then followed her to S. Eden Street, where he assaulted and attempted to rape her.
She was able to escape, and he fled from the area.
Cooper faces charges of attempted rape and sexual assault.
Last month, Baltimore Police said the February assault was connected to another similar one that happened in April. Police have not yet said if they are investigating Cooper in connection to that assault.
