Baltimore police are investigating two Saturday incidents: a shooting and a fatal pedestrian hit and run.
The shooting happened at about 4:56 a.m. when patrol officers were called to the 1800 block of Winchester Street for a report of a shooting. Once they arrived, the officers found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.
He was taken to an area hospital where he is currently listed as being in critical condition.
Citywide Shooting detectives are investigating this incident, so anyone with information is asked to contact detectives at (410) 396-2221 or call the Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7Lockup.
The second incident, which is a fatal hit and run, happened at a little after 11 a.m. when patrol officers arrived to the 2600 block of Liberty Heights for a report of a pedestrian involved hit and run. Once at the location, the officers located a 61-year-old unresponsive woman.
Medics arrived and pronounced her dead at the scene.
Crash Team detectives are looking for a Champaign colored Infinity, unknown model, with some front-end damage. The vehicle was last seen going northbound from the crime scene.
