City police announce arrest in deadly stabbing in northeast Baltimore

City police arrest  suspect in deadly stabbing that occurred in northeast Baltimore Monday evening.

Earlier today, Timothy Spicer, 51, of the 5600 block of Greenhill Avenue was arrested and taken to the Central Booking and Intake Facility. 

Police said officers responded to the 5600 block in Greenhill Avenue for a reported  stabbing just after 8p.m yesterday. 

When officers arrived to the scene they located 79-year-old Gerald Long with several stab wounds to his body. 

The victim, Long was pronounced dead at the scene. 

During the initial investigation, detectives discovered that Long and Spicer had an argument inside the home before Spicer stabbed Long several times. 

Spicer is charged with murder and facing various assault charges.
