Baltimore Police say a dirt bike rider died after crashing into a car on Saturday evening. Police responded at 5:30 p.m. to the scene at Preston St and Ellwood Ave where they found the victim; he was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police believe the 28-year-old driver of a 2008 Volkswagon Routon was parking his car in the westbound lane when the 23-year-old dirt bike driver ran into the rear of the car. The Volkswagon driver had a valid driver’s license and remained at the scene; police do not believe alcohol was a factor.

The dirt bike operator did not have a valid license and police found the bike had been stolen from Baltimore County on July 21.

Police will continue to investigate.
