Double shooting in Dunbar leaves one dead, one injured

BALTIMORE — A 25-year-old man was killed and a 20-year-old man was shot in a double shooting in Southeast Baltimore’s Dunbar neighborhood shortly after midnight Thursday, Baltimore Police said.

Officers responded to the 1400 block of May Court for a reported shooting at 12:01 a.m., police said. Police arrived to find 25-year-old Nicholas McPherson, of the 2000 block of Oak Drive, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. He was taken to nearby Johns Hopkins Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

As officers were on the scene, they received another call for a shooting in the 1500 block of Mulliken Court, also in Dunbar. There, police found the 20 year old. He was suffering from a gunshot wound to his foot. He told police had also been shot in the 1400 block of May Court.
