BALTIMORE (WMAR) — The father of a mother of six found dismembered in a shopping cart behind a Baltimore apartment complex has been charged with her murder.
On Thursday, Baltimore City Police detectives served 66-year-old Lawrence Banks with charging documents while he sat at the Central Booking and Intake Facility on previous gun charges.
It was Mothers Day when 43-year-old Dominique Foster's body was found wrapped up in plastic near a dumpster behind the Clarks Lane Garden Apartments. Her hands, feet, legs, and head were all reportedly missing.

At first it was an uphill battle for detectives to identify the body. All they had to go off of was a lips tattoo on the body.
Investigator's later caught a break, and received a tip from a woman claiming to be Foster's daughter.
The woman told police it was Lawrence Banks who killed her mother.

Foster's family also alleges that Banks has killed other family members in the past.

Banks is currently being held without bail.
