Five people shot after unknown suspect opened fire into a crowd; one victim dies

BALTIMORE — Five people were shot and one of the five died after an unidentified suspect approached a crowd and opened fire.

On Saturday, at around 1:15 a.m., officers responded to the 800 block of North Port Street for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found a 19-year-old man and a 20-year-old man who were both suffering from a gunshot wound to the stomach.

Both victims were taken to an area hospital. The 19 year old, however, was pronounced dead.

While on scene, investigators were notified of three walk-in shooting victims at a local area hospital. Once they arrived, they found a 20-year-old female that was suffering from a gunshot wound to the shoulder, a 19-year-old man that was suffering from a gunshot wound to the chin, and a 20-year-old man that was suffering from gunshot wounds to the arm and leg.

The preliminary investigation revealed that all five victims were standing in the 800 block of North Port Street when an unidentified male suspect approached the crowd and began shooting.
