Four shootings and six people shot overnight throughout Baltimore

BALTIMORE — After six people were shot overnight in Baltimore, police say that they are now investigating four shootings.

The first shooting happened Wednesday night, at around 9:50 p.m., when officers were called to the unit block of Abington Avenue to investigate a reported shooting. Officers got to the scene observed a 17-year-old male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. A second male victim also suffered from a gunshot wound to the leg.

The second shooting happened at a little after 10:35 p.m., when Southern District officers arrived to the 1800 block of Ramsey Street to investigate a reported shooting. A 39-year-old man was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the foot.

He was transported to an area hospital.

Southern District Shooting investigators later learned that a “Shot Spotter” alert indicated gunfire in the 400 block of South Paulson Street. Evidence of the shooting found at the location.

The third shooting happened at a little before 11:10 p.m., when officers were called to the 4300 block of Seminole Avenue to investigate a reported shooting. Once on the scene, officers learned that a 19-year-old male was suffering from a gunshot wound to the buttocks.

The last shooting happened on Thursday, at around 12:30 a.m.

Officers were called to the 1700 block of North Asquith Street to investigate a “Shot Spotter” alert notification of gunfire. Responding officers found two men, a 50-year-old and a 35-year-old, suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were transported to area hospitals for treatment.
