Four shot, two dead following two overnight shootings

BALTIMORE — Baltimore Police are now investigating two Saturday overnight homicides.

The first happened at a little before 10:50 p.m., when officers were called to the 3400 block of Tivoly Avenue for a report of a shooting. When they arrived, officers found a 26-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds to his body. He was taken to an area hospital where he died from his injuries. Monday, he was identified as 27-year-old Dontae Samuel.

A short time later, a second shooting victim arrived at an area hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg. He is currently being treated for his injuries.

Detectives believe that both victims were in the 3400 block of Tivoly Avenue when they were shot. However, this incident is still under investigation.

The second homicide happened at a little before 11 p.m., when officers were called to the 3700 block of Boarman Avenue for a report of a shooting. Officers arrived and found two shooting victims.

The first was a 19-year-old man with gunshot wounds to his body and the second was a 17-year-old teen with a gunshot wound to his back. The 19-year-old was taken to an area hospital where he died from his injuries and the 17-year-old is currently receiving treatment at an area hospital.
