Gunshot victim found behind vacant home in Carrollton Ridge

BALTIMORE — A man who was found shot behind a vacant house in the Carrollton Ridge neighborhood was pronounced dead early Friday, Baltimore Police said.

Officers from the Southwest District responded to a Shot Spotter alert in the 300 block of Furrow Street at about 12:38 a.m. In the rear yard of a vacant home on the block they found an unresponsive man suffering from gun shot wounds. He was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center were he was pronounced dead by medical personnel, police said.
