A man was arrested for assaulting a woman at a Royal Farms on Holabird Avenue in Baltimore.
Mark Commodore, 49, was charged with first- and second-degree assault and is being held on $350,000 bail.
Police said he tried to hit the woman with a four-inch blade on Wednesday afternoon. He threw it into nearby bushes when officers arrived on the scene.
The victim tried to defend herself with a broom handle. She told police that Commodore had been harassing store customers prior to the assault.
