17-year-old dead after police find him unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds

Baltimore Police are investigating the murder of a 17-year-old boy Monday evening.

Police were dispatched to Pennsylvania Avenue and Dolphin Street for a reported shooting around 8:38 p.m.

Officers at the scene found an unresponsive man, later identified as 17-year-old Micharl Handy, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The teen was transported to a trauma center where he was later pronounced dead moments after arriving.

Homicide detectives investigating the shooting were informed by first responding officers aiding the victim that they found a loaded gun in his possession.
