BALTIMORE, Md. — Baltimore Police are investigating a shooting that happened in the area of Park Heights Avenue and Sumter Avenue on Friday afternoon.

Police say a patrol officer was alerted by a person in the area about the shooting around 2:50 p.m.
According to officials, officers began to investigate the area and found 21-year-old Deaondre Johnson with a gunshot wound to his upper body. Johnson was sent to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead from his injuries.
Homicide detectives are investigating the incident.
