Man dead following Wednesday morning shooting in West Baltimore

BALTIMORE — A man was shot and killed in West Baltimore Wednesday morning.

At around 10:44 a.m., police were called to the 800 block of West Lexington Street to investigate a report of a shooting.

Officers arrived to discover a man, who was in possession of a handgun, lying on the ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

A medic arrived to transport the victim, 30-year-old Brandon Hill, to University of Maryland Shock Trauma for treatment. Shortly after his arrival, Hill was pronounced dead by medical personnel.

Homicide detectives were arrived and took control of the investigation.
