BALTIMORE — Police say a man died early Wednesday morning after being shot multiple times in Northwest Baltimore.
At a little before 1:45 a.m., patrol officers arrived to the 3400 block of Piedmont Avenue for a reported shooting. When officers arrived, they found 34-year-old Donta Butler suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim was pronounced dead by medical personnel shortly after arriving at Sinai Hospital.
Homicide detectives were called to the location and took control of the investigation. They ask that anyone with information call them at (410) 396-2100.
Another incident happened a couple hours before in Southwest Baltimore and it left one man hospitalized.
Late Tuesday night, at around 11:05 p.m., police arrived to the 2200 block of Wilkens Avenue for a report of a shooting.
When they arrived, they observed a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Officials say the shooting actually happened in the 500 block of South Smallwood Street, which indicates the victim fled the scene of the shooting.
