Man dies after being shot multiple times Friday; community association calls on BPD

BALTIMORE — Baltimore Police say that a man died Thursday night after being shot in the head multiple times.

At around 9:40 p.m., Southern District patrol officers arrived to the 2200 block of Annapolis Road for a report of a shooting. Once at the location, officers located an unresponsive male with multiple gunshot wounds to the head.

Medics arrived to the location and pronounced the victim dead.

Another homicide happened early Friday morning in Eastern Baltimore.

At around 2:20 a.m., patrol officers arrived to the 1200 block of North Caroline Street for a report of a shooting.

Upon their arrival, officers located a man that was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his body. The victim was taken to an area hospital where he later died.

Some time later, the Oliver Community Association released a statement and urged the suspect to turn themselves in immediately. They also called on the Baltimore Police Department and encouraged them to develop a community-based crime plan that would address the crime that goes on in the Oliver community.

The 1200 block of Caroline, where this homicide took place is no stranger to death and violence. The Oliver community want’s a plan that works and has the input of the community. Our heart goes out to the family of the victim and to the residents forever traumatized by this horrible crime.
