Man dies after getting shot, hit by car in Northwest Baltimore, police said

A man died after being shot, then struck by a car, in Northwest Baltimore's Dolfield neighborhood early Tuesday, Baltimore Police said.

At about 1 a.m., officers were flagged down in the 3300 block of W. Coldspring Lane and told a man had been struck by a car in the 4700 block of Wabash Avenue. 

Officers responded there and found the 38-year-old man lying in the middle of the road unresponsive. He was taken to Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later, but while examining his body, doctors saw he had a gunshot wound to his left shoulder.

The man's body was taken to the medical examiner's officer for an autopsy.
